The Prince George Farmers' Market will be moving to a new year-round downtown location in October.
The market will relocate to a building behind The Keg on October 20, 2012 and will be open every Saturday.
President Nancie Krushelnicki says the move has been necessitated by financial issues.
She says customers have been surveyed to gauge support and it appears most people will still attend the market.
"While we realize there will be challenges to the location and to moving to a new area, we think that our customers who find the market very valuable will also come to the new location."
Krushelnicki says the market board is working to address any concerns and suggestions raised by vendors.
The outdoor market will remain at Wilson Square until October 13, 2012 and will reopen next year on 6th Avenue.
