Two hikers that went missing this weekend have been found.

Just before 10am this morning Prince George RCMP received a report that a 42 year old woman and 23 year old man who were hiking in Sugarbowl - Grizzly Den Provincial Park, failed to return last night (Mon).

A police officer went to the parking lot of the park and found a vehicle belonging to one of the hikers, and Prince George Search and Rescue began a search this afternoon.

Around 3pm other hikers in the park heard calls for help, and at 3:30 the two were located by ground searchers, safe and sound.

Police say it's believed the hikers had become lost and couldn't find their way back to their vehicle.
