NewsJunk in the Trunk Sale Saturday
If you're looking to get rid of some stuff you don't need anymore, and may not have the means to host your own garage sale, there's a great opportunity to join one big community garage sale taking place tomorrow. The Regional District of Fraser-Fort George and the Recycling and Environmental Action Planning Society are putting on a "Junk in the Trunk Sale" in the CN Centre parking lot. Waste Diversion Program Leader Rachael Ryder says the sale is part of Waste Reduction Week next week. "It's a community style garage sale at CN Centre. Basically the idea is for people that live in condominiums or apartments, or you don't have enough stuff to have a full blown garage sale, this is an opportunity to get rid of some of your junk - if you want to call it that - in a community style garage sale." Ryder says participants can sell their items from the trunks of their car. It's a 10 dollar donation to book a stall, and any items left unsold can be donated to AimHi. The sale will run from 9am to 1pm. Most Viewed Stories
