A Northern BC mining company under pressure from the BC Securities Commission is nearly finished a more detailed assessment it needs to complete.

Barkerville Gold Mines was handed a Cease Trading Order by the BCSC earlier this year due to a lack of information regarding a technical review of a proposed Cariboo region mine.

Barkerville President and CEO Frank Callaghan says a new report on the Cariboo Gold Project near Wells, including work done by an independent consultant, should allieviate concerns.

"This is an independant person that's provided us information and he's very well qualified. 45 year experience Peter George has. We're looking forward to what Stoden has to say about his work."

Callaghan says the lack of ability to trade on the market has meant production at the company's other Cariboo area sites has been put mostly on hold.

He's hoping everything can get back to normal within a matter of weeks.
