Local photographers will be helping the North Cariboo SPCA with its first ever "Pup-a-razzi Day" today.

Photographers will be taking photos of dogs, cats and other animals at the shelter to encourage adoption.

BC SPCA General Manager Lori Chortyk says photographers have volunteered their time to take the photos.

"And taking really fabulous photographs of these animals outside the cage or the kennel environment to really give people a sense of the personalities of the animals and to just let them see them outside that shelter environment."

Chortyk says they will post all photos of the shelter animals on the BC SPCA website.
