NewsPGAIR Names Winners in Poster Contest
Saturday, June 30, 2012 - 1:38 PM The Prince George Air Improvement Roundtable has named the winners in its Clean Air Day Kids Contest. Children around Prince George were asked to draw and submit posters that show how people can improve air quality in Prince George. PG-AIR Program Coordinator Tiffany Bonnett says the winner of the age 5-8 category was Ramirson from Westwood Elementary School. "And he drew a story of a time when him and his sister biked to school instead of driving," says Bonnett, "it's really cute because at the end he had a quote that said 'Mom saves gas' so that was a nice message." Bonnett says the other poster winner was from Audille also from Westwood Elementary who drew a picture of trees being planted. The poster contest was part of National Clear Air Day to encourage and remind people of how to improve air quality. Most Viewed Stories
