Discover the history of Prince George through the annual Downtown Walking Tours.

The tours have started up again for the summer, and Allan Wilson with the Prince George Library says the tour highlights a number of the city's historic buildings.

"Starting with City Hall, the cenotaph, Prince George Hotel, Ritz-Keifer Hall, Shasta Cafe, and so on and so forth all the way through to Connaught Ski Hill. So we have a series of historical plaques around the town, and this is an annual tour that compliments that."

Wilson adds that this year they're also doing a seated tour which is a Power Point presentation, and there's also a self-guided tour where people can visit the library's website for information.

The tours run on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and are free of charge.
