Prince George RCMP have arrested and charged a man in relation to a robbery earlier this week.

25 year old Eric John Barnes of Smithers has been charged with robbery, resisting a peace officer, and breach of probation.

It was on Monday night when police responded to an armed robbery at a convenience store on the 31 hundred block of 15th Avenue.

A man had entered the business with a knife and stole the cash register.

On Wednesday officers located and arrested Barnes, who has an extensive criminal record for violent and property related offences.

He will be in court on July 18th.
