A new gallery has opened at Exploration Place for the first time in a decade.

CEO Tracy Calogheros says the Biome is a new space for their living animals.

"This is our brand new living gallery. So everything that we use to have in our old explorations gallery has been moved downstairs and revamped and made new. So living animals, living plants, we're talking about ecosystems, both local and far away. Basically looking at the whole world and all the systems within it."

With the animals now living in the Biome, the space upstairs is being used for traveling exhibits.

Calogheros says they've been working towards the Biome since September.

She says they're mostly done and are now open to the public, but there is still a lot of new things to come.
