A Smoke Advisory in effect for Prince George since yesterday morning has ended.

The Ministry of Environment issued the advisory due to pockets of smoke in the area from wildfires in Alberta.

Wind has since blown the smoke southeastward, reducing high particulate levels in the air.

Anyone who is having a hard time breathing, has chest pain or a sudden onset of coughing should call a doctor.

Residents can continue to use local transit for free until 11:59 pm.
