Vanderhoof Residents Try to Resurrect Airshow

Prince George, BC

After an 18 year hiatus, Vanderhoof will be holding an airshow next weekend.  On Saturday jets, planes and other aircrafts will be on display and in the sky at the Vanderhoof Airport.  Organizer Peet Vahi says there has been talk for a while now about resurrecting an air show.

"And this year, thanks to some new blood and interest were going to give it a go with a one day event," says Vahi, "just to see if we should give it a go and try to resurrect the Vanderhoof Airshow as it used to be."

Vahi says flying demonstrations will go from 1-3 p-m at the Vanderhoof Airport and will cost $5 for anyone over 16.  A dinner will be later in the evening and advance tickets cost $25.
