Havana, January 9 (ACN) site Cubaminerex Carlos Fernández de Cossío Domínguez and Elio Rodríguez Perdomo have been promoted to Cuba’s deputy foreign ministers.
The note states that Carlos Fernández de Cossío Domínguez holds a degree in international relations and a doctorate in political science.
He has held various responsibilities in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Service, including Deputy Director of the Directorate of Multilateral Affairs, Director of North America and Ambassador of Cuba to Canada and South Africa. He was also a guarantor of peace operations in Colombia.
At the time of his appointment, he was serving as Managing Director of the United States.
Cubamirex reports that Comrade Gerardo Penalver Portal, who was appointed First Deputy Minister last December, has been replaced by Elio Rodriguez Bertomo as Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cuba.
Rodriguez Pertomo holds a degree in International Political Relations and has held various positions in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Service, including Director of Europe and Canada and Cuba’s Ambassador to the Netherlands; Belgium, Luxembourg and the European Union; And before the French Republic, the latter work was recently completed.
