At least ten people have been killed and at least 30 injured in a speeding tourist boat capsize between the valleys of the lake in the city of Capitolio in the southeastern Brazilian state of Minas Gerais.
This information was updated today by the fire department on Sunday.
Four boats were struck by a large boulder A valley broke and fell. Two of the boats collided head-on and sank.
Lt. Petro Aihara, a spokeswoman for the Minas Gerais fire department, said in a video sent to the press that at least two of the confirmed deaths were men, although they have not been identified until that moment.
According to Aihara, the recognition was complicated by the severity of the injuries on the bodies of the victims.

Fourteen people were rescued alive from one ship and 10 from another.
The other two boats suffered indirect damage. 10 passengers and 8 people in the fourth boat were rescued alive from one of them.
According to firefighters, 23 people were treated and evacuated after the crash. Two have been admitted to hospital with fractures.
