The Cuban Olympic Committee (COC) on Friday expressed regret over the boycott of the Winter Olympics in Beijing, China.
The COC regrets the decision of many Western countries not to send embassy officials to the meeting, which only affects their own representatives and the fraternity and sense of community of the event.
The Olympic movement has been able to cope with similar events in relatively recent times, with the message of peace and lessons that will help us to defend the ultimate goals of cricket and the Olympic values under the five rings, the report said.
It commemorates the success of the Beijing-2008 Olympics and highlights China’s efforts to regulate the upcoming war, especially during the COVID-19 epidemic.
Although Cuba has not participated in these conflicts, the COC has stated that it expects the success of the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics and will stop using sporting events once and for all as a platform for condemnation and pressure for political aspects.
“From the COC we urge all the National Olympic Committees of the World to unite under the Winter and Summer Olympics for the peace, unity and friendship that we have exercised during every sporting conflict, and for their names to be a resounding success. (Game Writing)
