Diputada affirma privatización persegue dismantelar Puerto Rico

The spokesperson of the eclectic Movimiento Victoria Ciudadana (MVC) in the House of Representatives described the scheme that has advanced since 2009 to dismantle the island government, as a “Puertopolio” to feed foreign interests.

To curb this situation, he proposes measures aimed at rebuilding public services, among them, eliminating the Authority for Public Private Partnerships, canceling contracts with LUMA Energy, HMS Ferries and San Juan Cruise Ports, and protecting the town’s access to housing.

This vision that deprives this island of the Caribbean of its assets, excludes the people and only counts with the government in the measure in which it is at the service of privatization, the looting and the expulsion of those who cannot pay.

“The government of Puerto Rico used to count on fundamental agencies and corporations that plan, investigate, quantify and mediate parameters to establish public policy (directed to) economic and social development, but its dismantling has brought us to this moment”, noted Nogales Molinelli. .

“Bajo Fortuño, Law 6 and Law 7 of 2009 were passed, which caused the loss of thousands of public employees and the dismantling of agencies, such as the DRNA (Department of Natural and Environmental Resources), through incentivized retirements and cesantías, sin espuertos para sustituir al personal o safeguardar la memoria institución”, arguedó.

To counter this situation, he proposed the approval of a series of measures aimed at rebuilding Puerto Rico and safeguarding its integrity as a nation. (PL)
