Bogotá, December 24 (RHC) This Friday, the Institute for Development and Peace Studies (Indepaz) condemned the assassination of two community leaders in Colombia, with 168 already killed by 2021.
According to Indepaz, Gustavo Orozco Ramírez, the first victim of the massacre, served as chairman of the San Perucho Village Community Action Board (JAC) in the Andes municipality, Department of Antioquia, and the Ombudsman’s Office issued a warning. Earlier, the agency condemned the assassination of Wilmer Askaniyo Angarida, a second community leader killed by gunmen in the municipality of San Pablo, located in the Bolivar Department.

Indepaz describes that 1,283 human rights defenders have been killed since the signing of the peace agreement in 2016, in addition to the 168 leaders assassinated this year.
