Caracas-. Venezuela’s United Socialist Party (PSUV) will prepare the conditions today for holding primary elections to select candidates for the November 21 election from the grassroots.
Venezuelan President and political body Nicolas Maduro has announced that the debate on the platform and consultation on the choice of plans will take place almost exclusively before then submission to municipal and regional elections for submission to an election within the party ranks.
He explained that plans for governors, mayors, state legislators and councilors should come from the site because “I believe in normal militancy. We need to bring the best candidates to this November 21 election.”
Diostato Cabello, the first vice president of the public sector company, said he had appointed a steering committee to advise on the selection of candidates, while a manual and election rules for primaries were being prepared.
He commented that a meeting was held this week with the national leadership of the party and the socialist youth to formulate a strategy for facing these crucial elections for the country.
The militant Maduro called for maintaining unity, saying, ‘Zero separatism, zero, maneuver and dirty war are the right means, stabbing, evil, hatred and fraud. Whoever falls for it is out. Not here, one of the nominees must be a unionist, a savist spirit. ‘
