The Venezuelan chancellor, Carlos Faría, held a meeting with the ambassador of North Korea, Ri Sung Gil, with the purpose of “estrechar lazos de cooperation y amistad entre ambas nationos”, said the cartera de Exteriores del país caribeño in a note from prensa.

Faría also held an encounter with the ambassador of China, Li Baorong, with the purpose of strengthening relations between both nations and promoting commercial exchange. The Venezuelan Chancellor informed the meeting via Twitter, where he explained that the meeting between both officials was carried out “with the objective of continuing to strengthen bilateral relations” that include economic cooperation in various areas.

La cartera de Exteriores published some photographs of the encounter without offering details on the topics addressed in the meeting.

Although the Venezuelan Executive did not specify the extent of the wide commercial exchange that Venezuela has with China until now, it has informed of alliances in the areas of health, communications, petroleum and other sources of energy, mining, defense, finance, culture, entre otros sectors y “a todo nivel”.

Faría and his Chinese counterpart, Wang Yi, ratified in the finals of June the bonds of friendship between both nations and the “will” to strengthen their strategic relationships.

On that occasion, both officials held a telephone conversation in which Faría ratified the will of the Venezuelan president, Nicolás Maduro, to continue strengthening strategic relationships and mutual cooperation.

This conversation took place in order to celebrate the 48th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Venezuela, which is at its “greatest moment in history”, according to Baorong.

On the other hand, the vice minister for Africa, Yuri Pimentel, ratified the will of the Gobierno de Nicolás Maduro to “stretch friendly ties” with Angola, in a meeting held with the new Angolan consul general in Venezuela, Mário Domingos Simão, who recently llegó al país sudamericano.
